The K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization) is a system introduced by the Government of the Republic of Korea to strengthen border security and streamline the entry process for international visitors.
Travelers from visa-free and visa-waiver countries are now required to obtain a K-ETA before boarding their flight or ship to Korea. To apply, travelers simply complete an online form with basic personal and travel details prior to departure. Once approved, the K-ETA confirmation is sent by email.
The K-ETA is not a visa, but rather a simplified electronic travel authorization. It is typically processed quickly and allows eligible visitors to enter Korea for short-term stays (such as tourism, business meetings, or family visits) without going through the full visa application procedure.
Similar electronic travel authorization systems exist in other countries, such as the ESTA in the United States or the ETA in Australia. Like those systems, the K-ETA serves as official proof that a traveler has been pre-screened and is permitted to enter Korea under the visa-free program.
Once approved, the Korea ETA is valid for 3 years. During this period, you can enter Israel multiple times, staying up to 90 days per visit (depending on the nationality).
Processing your Korea K-ETA from our side takes no more than 1 hour, thanks to Evisat AI technology. Once submitted to the government, approval can take up to 72 hours. The K-ETA is electronically linked to your passport, but we recommend printing a copy or keeping the digital version ready on your phone until you arrive at the border. You will receive your K-ETA via email.
The Korea K-ETA isn’t a visa. It’s a travel authorization that’s linked to your passport and allows you to enter South Korea without a traditional visa.
Applying for an Korea K-ETA through Evisat.org costs $69, which includes both the government fee and our service fee. You can also apply directly on the official government website for a lower price.
